Wrapping paper comes in many colors, but sometimes a box is just more practical. It is even more practical if you can make such a box yourself. In some cases, all you need is a sheet of paper and your hands when using the origami technique.

Paper can not only be used to make boxes of different sizes and shapes but also to make plants, animals, and many other objects. In Japan, the art of folding paper is called origami.

There is a lot of packaging in the household that is simply disposed of after use. However, if you keep shoe boxes, cheese packaging, and another cardboard packaging, you can use them to make great gift packaging or storage boxes at a reasonable price.

To decorate the boxes you can use wrapping paper, napkins, stickers, buttons, and much more. There are hardly any limits to the imagination. Just make sure that all parts are glued together well.

Who does not know that? You have filigree jewelry or another small gift that you would like to give as a nicely wrapped gift. How good if you can fold boxes yourself or make beautiful boxes out of empty cardboard boxes.

The packaging can then be individually tailored to the gift and the person receiving the gift. For example, you can make a heart box yourself for Valentine’s Day and then design this packaging yourself.

Whether square or round box, monochrome or colorful, large or small – there are no limits to your imagination.

Note: The starting point for the objects is mostly square pieces of paper that are either monochrome or patterned. Scissors and glue are rarely used. A true origami master is one who can do without them entirely.
